When Univision needed an experienced partner to deliver a hugely important streaming project, Econify stepped in.

Challenge

Univision, an American Spanish-language free-to-air television network and the United States' largest provider of Spanish-language content, needed to launch a Netflix-style platform for LATAM with aggressive deadlines. A challenge that Econify was more than happy and able to fulfil.

Goals

3 key goals for the project included:

Launch of multiple streaming applications.
Meet tight deadlines to ensure go-to-market goals were hit.
Support large-scale events that would become key to the platform's strategy.

Solution

Econify's team was central to the development of the applications. Our team of 10 senior engineers, who came with great experience across multiple technologies, including Roku, Android, Apple, Web, and backend development, was deployed to realize and launch 5 different clients with a GraphQL layer to support them all. Turned around in the space 6 months, the project was completed in time for the strategically important broadcast of the World Cup.

Business Value

The project was a huge success and of great strategic importance. It established Univision as a major streaming player in the LATAM market while meeting all launch objectives.
