Ezee Fiber faced significant challenges with their website, including failing unit tests, unresolved production bugs, and a lack of observability. Additionally, their developer lifecycle processes were informal, impacting code quality and developer efficiency. As their consulting engineer rolled off, they needed immediate improvements and new feature implementations.
We had a number of goals:
To stabilize Ezee Fiber’s website and improve overall performance, we first tackled critical bugs and failing unit tests, which were causing ongoing issues in production. By eliminating these errors and introducing a structured developer lifecycle, we ensured higher code quality and a more efficient development process.
To enhance visibility into site performance, we implemented Datadog, giving the team real-time observability and the ability to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. Additionally, we introduced a range of localization and SEO improvements, including automated translation, geolocation-based customization, and optimized metadata to improve search rankings. Integrating user analytics tools like Google Analytics and Hotjar, enabled the team to track user behavior and validate marketing and UX strategies effectively.
Performance optimization was another key focus. By implementing advanced caching strategies, we significantly improved load speeds while simultaneously reducing server costs. Finally, we streamlined the user experience by integrating careers and streaming bundle applications directly into the website, removing the need for third-party platforms and improving both usability and SEO.
Ezee Fiber now has a high-performing, scalable website that has positioned them for future growth with a stable foundation.
